Arkansas has great sites for tourist and families. Read on to find out more about the climate, what to bring when you visit and some amazing facts.

First of all, Arkansas has many amazing, historical, and cool facts you would like to find out about. For example, Arkansas became our 25th state in June 15, 1863.In 1880 the state legislature passed a bill that declared the state name would be spelled “Arkansas”, but pronounced “Arkansaw”. In 1962, Sam Walton opened the first Wal-Mart there. Hot Springs National Park known as “America’s spa,” is home to hot springs. Every day 700,000 gallons of 143°F water flows from the earth into the thermal springs. The water is so pure that NASA used some to keep the first moon rock protected.

Secondly, you should know what you need to bring. If you are coming in the spring, you should bring sweat pants and short shirts because the climate is 72/52°F. If you are coming in the winter, you should bring a coat and worm clothes because the climate is 52/34°F. When you come in the summer, you should bring short pants and short shirts because the climate is 90/70°F.

There are many interesting places that you might like to visit. In October, in eastern Arkansas, the historic town of Helena, celebrates the King Biscuit Blues and Heritage Festival. The Jonquil Festival in old Washington Historic State Park celebrates the coming of spring to southwest Arkansas. Our forty second president Bill Clinton was born in a town called Hope. Visitors tour his house in Little Rock. If you like geology, you can go diamond hunting at the crater of Diamonds State Park in Murfreesboro. You can keep whatever you find, no matter how big.

Now that you know about the climate, cool facts, and things to do her, I hope that you are planning to come. Arkansas is a fantastic place to visit.
